Irish Cultural Day, September 29, 2018
Want to learn an instrument? Step dance? Sing?
Join us for an afternoon of free workshops in Irish music, dance, and culture, led by members of the Rochester Irish community. This event, which had been run for 14 years at Nazareth College, has moved a mile up the street to St. John Fisher College! We're excited to have the event back for its third year at Fisher in 2018.
Workshops planned include Accordion (Button and Piano), Anglo Concertina, Bodhran (2 levels), Fiddle (2 levels, several instructors), Flute, Guitar Accompaniment, Hammered Dulcimer, Irish Language, Irish Step Dance (2 styles), Irish Social Dance (2 styles), Playing by Ear, Scottish Tunes, Singing, Session Tunes, Tenor Banjo & Mandolin, Variation and Ornamentation, and Whistle (2 levels).
